Senior Linux Systems Administrator with Cloud Expertise
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator with cloud experience to join our dynamic IT team.
This role requires a thorough understanding of Linux system administration, cloud technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Linux-based systems and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Linux System Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions and resolve system issues promptly.
- Security Practices: Ensure the security of Linux systems and cloud infrastructure, applying best practices and compliance.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts for system management and deployment.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to support infrastructure and application needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices, suggesting improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Linux system administration experience.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in shell scripting, system automation, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security practices and compliance requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Relevant certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
