The role involves leading and managing large-scale IT programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals, governance standards, and quality expectations. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to coordinate multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and delivery of complex IT projects and programmes.
* Coordinate project management activities with internal and external partners.
* Oversee project delivery, testing, and quality assurance.
* Support business readiness, transition, and deployment activities.
* Manage cross‑functional teams and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
* Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, timelines, and resources.
* Track progress, risks, and issues, implementing resolutions where required.
* Ensure compliance with governance and change management processes.
* Provide leadership, motivation, and clear reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
* Experience in resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and multi‑vendor coordination.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
* Minimum 7 years’ experience managing IT projects or programmes.
* Experience working in a PMO or multi‑vendor environment.
* Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. ClickUp).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with Microsoft-based or integrated systems.
* Public sector experience.
* Understanding of customer experience and service delivery.
