Job Description – Accounts Assistant
Traditional Meat Company (TMC) is a beef processing company with decades of experience in the processing and export of quality beef to niche high-end markets across Europe. Our key differentiator in our industry is our ability to maintain a close relationship with our clients and build on this to provide bespoke services that deliver to their needs and specifications. We are continuing to expand our operations and are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a high level of initiative and possess the following:
* Relevant 3rd level qualification in business/accountancy would be advantageous.
* Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
* High level in MS Excel, Word, and Windows.
* 'Can-do' attitude.
The Role:
The Accounts Assistant will be (but not limited to) involved in the following activities:
* Working on Accounts Receivable, allocations and managing the after sales experience of our customers.
* Dealing with credit note requests in a timely and efficient manner.
* Accruing and issuing of Credit Notes for Rebates, LTAs and other such long-term commercial agreements.
* Working closely with the Dispatch Team to prepare weekly Transport Purchase Orders and matching subsequent invoices from suppliers.
* Bank Reconciliations across different currencies.
* Preparation of various weekly costing reports.
* Working with the packing team to manage the packing stock control system.
* Production and presentation of various analytical reports.
* Provide assistance on similar activities to the finance team in our sister factory.
* Work on various ad hoc projects to improve the quality of financial reports being produced with the business.
* Any other duties as would be required of an Assistant Accountant.
