Based in Antrim, Ongoing Temporary Contracts available as a Cook & a Catering Assistant
B3 Cook, working 5 days out of 7, Monday - Sunday.
Must be available to work a full block 7 1/2 hr shift between 7.30am - 7.15pm
B2 Catering Assistant, working 3 & 5 days each week out of 7, Monday - Sunday.
Must be available to work a full 7 1/2 hour shift between 6.30am - 7.15pm.

B3 COOK
The hours available are:
Monday - Sunday, 37 1/2 hours worked over 5 days out of 7.
7 1/2 hours each shift.
Earliest start is 7.30am - Latest finish time is 7.15pm
£12.31 per hour Monday - Friday
£16.62 Saturday
£20.80 Sunday
CRITERIA
City & Guilds 706 Catering (or equivalent), a Basic Food Hygiene certificate and a good knowledge of Food Safety/HACCP
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead a team in one or more of the following areas.
Production, ready to eat and bakery area to prepare cook and serve food to the agreed recipes and standard.
To have knowledge and cater for any dietary requirements and ensure compliance in relation to allergens.
To understand and adhere to HACCP and ensure accurate recording and monitoring of HACCP forms.
To contribute ideas on staff menus ,functions and the catering services in general
To deal with telephone queries and take appropriate action as necessary.
To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Catering Manager.
B2 CATERING ASSISTANT, working in production kitchen, pot wash area
The hours available are:
Monday - Sunday, Hours worked each week are between 3 & 5 days out of 7.
7 1/2 hours each shift.
Earliest start is 6.30am - Latest finish time is 7.15pm
£12.21 per hour Monday - Friday
£17.22 Saturday
£20.34 Sunday
CRITERIA
To have good reading & communication skills as the job involves answering phone calls from wards and writing down instructions as requested.
To be hard working as this is an extremely busy department where health and safety is priority and heavy work will involve manual handling when delivering food on trollies to the ward and cleaning large pots, trays and large pieces of catering equipment.
To have the ability to work well in a team, listen to, understand & competently carry out any instructions given by Supervisors when cleaning the kitchen areas, floors & all equipment according to cleaning schedules.
An Access NI will have to be applied for upon job offer.
These roles are starting asap and are temporary, ongoing roles.
