The Role
This role will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, payroll, cash flow management and forecasting, and statutory compliance (PAYE, VAT, R&D Tax, etc.).">

Main Responsibilities:
• Financial Planning and Analysis - Creating budgets, forecasts, and financial models aligned with business goals.
• Business Partnering - Collaborating closely with department leaders to provide financial insights and support decisions that enhance business performance.
• Compliance and Governance - Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations and internal controls.
• Financial Reporting - Producing accurate and timely financial statements.

Requirements:
• Qualified chartered accountant with a recognised accounting body (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Five year's experience working in a fast-paced finance department.
• Strong background in financial accounting.
• Proven experience coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors to complete annual financial statements.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including pivot table use and data manipulation.
• Experience liaising with brokers on general and credit insurance policy management and claims.
• Experience in managing teams or a strong interest in developing management skills.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
