We are working with a leading tier 1 main contractor in their search for an experienced Foreman to join their Restoration development team in Tallaght.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate day-to-day construction activities on projects within the education and residential sectors.
* Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
* Supervise and lead on-site personnel, providing guidance and support to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
* Collaborate with project managers to interpret and implement project drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety standards, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure compliance.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the on-site team.
* Liaise with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to provide updates and address concerns.
* Manage and track construction materials, equipment, and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and procurement as needed.
* Report on project status, challenges, and achievements to project management and stakeholders regularly.
* Foster teamwork and collaboration among on-site personnel, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Foreman in the construction industry, with a track record of successful delivery of projects in excess of €50m.
* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate on-site teams.
* Ability to interpret and implement project drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Familiarity with construction project management software and tools.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of budgetary constraints and the ability to manage resources efficiently.
* Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols on-site.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Availability to work flexible hours as required by project demands.
