Applications are now invited for the position of HR Generalist
As an HR Generalist, you will support the implementation of HR initiatives and assist in both strategic and day-to-day HR activities. This includes employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and HR project delivery. You will work closely with the HR Manager and senior stakeholders to provide expert guidance and proactive HR support aligned with IMR’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the HR Manager to support the implementation of HR initiatives and contribute to the smooth running of HR operations across the organisation.
* Lead and manage the recruitment process, including screening, scheduling, interviewing, and providing candidate feedback. Develop strategic talent acquisition plans to meet business needs.
* Advise managers on employee relations issues in line with company policy and employment law.
* Monitor and report on HR metrics such as turnover, absence, and headcount, providing actionable insights.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of HR systems, processes, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
* Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive engagement with employees and stakeholders.
* Support the coordination and tracking of learning and development initiatives, including compliance training and personal development plans.
* Collaborate on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives and support employee wellbeing alongside the Health & Safety team.
* Lead HR projects such as policy development, HR systems implementation, employee engagement programmes, and organisational development initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* A third level qualification in Human Resources (Essential) or similar business discipline.
* 5+ years’ experience in a HR generalist or HR Business Partner role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR analytics/reporting.
* Organised and efficient - proven ability to work independently and using own initiative.
* Confidentiality - given the nature of this role & exposure to sensitive information.
* Excellent attention to detail - accuracy is a requirement as is follow up in a time efficient manner.
* Excellent PC Skills (Word, Excel, Power point etc) and written communication.
Location:
IMR offices are situated in Rathcoole, Co Dublin and Mullingar, Co Westmeath. The role will be based in our Rathcoole office. We offer a flexible hybrid working model to suit the successful candidate.
A full, valid driver’s licence is essential, as travel between our Rathcoole and Mullingar offices will be required as part of the role.
Salary & Benefits
This position will command a package consisting of basic salary (€60,000 - €65,000 Depending on experience), employer pension contribution and 5 weeks holidays.
