The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer will be delivering complex geotechnical design solutions and contribute to the execution of geotechnical site visits and the review of ground investigation investigations. Duties: The successful Geotechnical Engineer will work within a supportive office and shall work on varied projects such as rail, highways, structures & water. As Geotechnical Engineer you will be involved in delivery of geotechnical design packages incl. earthworks, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations and retaining walls. Planning and procurement of ground investigation contracts for major infrastructure and commercial development projects Designing earthworks and foundations toEurocode 7. Preparing earthworks designsto Eurocode 7, including production of earthworks specifications and design drawings. Pavement foundation design in accordance withTII / UK DMRB. Design of ground improvement techniques for soft ground, including surcharge, vertical drains, piled embankments, and lime/concrete subgrade stabilisation. Attendance at client meetings; Preparation of proposals and contract tenders; Management and delivery of design documents, drawings and reports. Requirements: Honours Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Structural Engineering. The successful Geotechnical Engineer should have8+ yearspost graduateGeotechnical design experiencewithin an engineeringconsultancy. Advanced experience in leading project interpretation, analysis, design, specification, and reporting as Project Manager across a diverse range of Geotechnical Category projects. Experience in the design and development of ground engineering processes, systems, services and products Fully experienced in design to Eurocode 7. Experience working in Irish/UK glacial till soils desirable, but not essential. Experience in general numerical software such asGeoStudio, Holebase/Openground, Wallapetc. Salary & Benefits: €70k - €85k+ - DOE Pension 2.5% - 5% depending on tenure.
