About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned business development professional to join our team, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced insurance professionals with a proven track record in sales. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about building strong client relationships, driving growth, and delivering innovative insurance solutions.
As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise to acquire and grow a substantial portfolio of complex or high-yield accounts, driving sales growth and revenue. You will utilise your market knowledge and internal service insights to engage potential prospects effectively, generating interest and securing meetings or presentations.
You will be responsible for developing compelling proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that address prospects' needs and clearly communicate the value of our services. Additionally, you will lead the entire account process from identification to closing, including pricing negotiations and expectation management, to achieve favourable financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage your expertise to acquire and grow a substantial portfolio of complex or high-yield accounts
* Utilise your market knowledge and internal service insights to engage potential prospects effectively
* Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that address prospects' needs
* Lead the entire account process from identification to closing, including pricing negotiations and expectation management
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while contributing positively to a supportive team culture. Several years of experience within an insurance professional role, bringing a deep understanding of the industry, client needs, and sales strategies. Strong technical insurance competency, combined with a genuine eagerness to continuously develop skills and knowledge, stay ahead of industry trends and deliver innovative solutions.
Fully qualified CIP. Excellent business development and market awareness. Ethics aligned to the Marsh Greater Good philosophy. Results-focused individual with the ability to deliver challenging targets. Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders. Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and growth strategy for the segment. Willingness to learn and develop career within our organisation. Working towards or fully qualified ACII.
