HVAC Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join a leading supplier of HVAC products at an exciting time of expansion. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for the design and re-design of HVAC systems

The Role:
1. Supporting consultants, trade and end users in developing HVAC system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, considering factors such as energy efficiency, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and sustainability.
2. Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, and other design calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
3. Assist in preparing design specifications, drawings, layouts, schematics, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
4. Ensure that HVAC designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
5. Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities to ensure proper functioning and performance of HVAC systems.
The Person
6. Four years minimum in the HVAC industry.
7. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8. Basic knowledge of HVAC design principles, load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and industry practices is a plus.
9. Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit to create and modify design drawings is an advantage but not essential.
