EMEA Payroll Specialist - Thrive in a Global Environment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EMEA Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll across the region, including French payroll. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure accurate processing and compliance with tax/legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing: End-to-end processing of payrolls for various countries within EMEA, including French payroll, in partnership with our global third-party payroll provider.
* Data Consolidation: Consolidating payroll change-related data in conjunction with HR and Total Rewards teams.
* Documentation Preparation: Preparing payroll-related documentation to ensure payroll accuracy before submission to our third-party payroll provider.
* Controls Maintenance: Maintaining sufficient controls in place to capture changes month on month and ensure that any differences are reconciled and explained.
* Employee Queries: Answering any employee/HR-related queries in a timely manner.
* Finance Reporting: Providing the wider finance team with month-end reporting documents and answering any relevant queries.
Process Improvement and Projects:
* Process Redesign: Identifying gaps or areas of improvement and working with the International Manager to redesign and standardize processes.
* Documentation Updates: Updating documentation of process flow and procedures.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with other stakeholders to identify task owners.
Audit and Integration Support:
* Audit Support: Working with internal and external audit on all payroll-related audits and owning action plan completion.
* Integration Planning: Collaborating with Payroll Manager, HR, and Finance Team to plan and execute integration of new payroll entities/countries against planned timelines.
* Other Project Work: Other project work related to payroll.
Your Experience and Background:
* Degree Holder: Degree holder or equivalent relevant experience in business, finance, commerce, or similar.
* Project Management: Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives required.
* Payroll Experience: Minimum 3 years payroll experience in multi-national companies preferred.
* Payroll Knowledge: Knowledge of payroll-related tax/legislative process in EMEA beneficial.
* Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Fluency in French required.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Teamwork: Team-oriented and able to establish strong effective working relationships.
* Customer Service: Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses or escalate to management.
* IT Skills: Proficient in all MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
