20 minutes from Killarney) Salary: €45,000 - €60,000 (DOE) + Pension + Bonus Experience: 1-3 years minimum in the construction industry About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Construction Coordinator to join a large scale Structural Steel contractor at brand-new office facilities on the Cork/Kerry border.
This role offers a unique opportunity to take on the challenges of project management within a fully office-based environment.
On major structural steel projects, core steel pricing is typically pre-established.
The real value of this position lies in effectively managing the flow of materials into production-similar to how a project manager coordinates subcontractors and deliveries on a live construction site.
Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate steel call-offs in line with fabrication schedules Ensure each batch/package of material is available as required for production Review drawings and upcoming project requirements to identify shortages or risks early Liaise with suppliers, mills, transport providers, and internal departments Ensure all certification, CE marking, traceability, and documentation are in place Monitor incoming materials and proactively resolve any delays Maintain a steady flow of materials to support smooth workshop operations Collaborate closely with detailing, contracts, production, and stores teams About You Experience in project coordination, supply chain, or construction-related roles Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers Experience working with structural steel or construction projects is an advantage Why Apply?
