Job Title: Senior Social Care Worker
Location: Ladysbridge, County Cork
Type of Service: Children's Residential Service
The primary objective of this post is to provide care and support through a person-centred approach which meets the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.
* To assist persons with a disability in residential, training and day service activities to achieve their highest level of functioning to maintain independence or improve skills.
The Senior Social Care Worker forms part of the on-floor duty team responsible for co-ordination during shifts while on-duty. This role requires collaboration as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in delivering services to residents. In absence of Person-In-Charge this role assumes management responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A qualification at Level 7 on National Framework Of Qualifications In relevant field such as Social Care/Social Work/Youth work/Nursing etc.,
* Minimum two years experience working within Residential Day-care settings servicing Individuals with intellectual disabilities; whereby they can discharge full duties required by position.
