The Opportunity
We are seeking Senior Project Engineers to join our Connection Projects (Southern Region) team in Cork. This role is ideal for a customer-focused, resilient, and motivated individual interested in delivering key infrastructure projects for major companies, supporting Ireland's renewable targets and sustainable economic growth.
Your responsibilities include managing a portfolio of customer projects, ensuring project controls are in place regarding budgets, schedule, quality, risk, and activity monitoring. You will also review and develop procedures and documentation for quality and accuracy, demonstrating strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The Team
The Chief Infrastructure Office (CIO) comprises skilled professionals in engineering and business, leading the development and delivery of power system and interconnection investment programs in collaboration with partners, customers, and communities. The Connection Projects (Southern Region) team handles delivery of electricity generation, demand, and interconnection customer connections to the transmission system, including transmission works at distribution voltage levels.
About you
* Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 4 years’ experience
* Proven experience managing large infrastructure projects with a good understanding of power systems
* Strong collaboration skills with customers and stakeholders
* Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences
* Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commercial awareness and decision-making capabilities in project implementation
* Full, clean driver’s license
