Intelligent Edge Systems Engineer
We're developing intelligent systems that bring together sensing and real-time AI to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge.
This role drives how autonomous systems reason about goals, decompose tasks, and adapt in dynamic environments.
You'll develop and integrate task policies using techniques like hierarchical planning, reinforcement learning, or hybrid methods.
Short and long-horizon planning systems will be designed and implemented for real-world robotic applications.
A scalable policy architecture will be prototyped and deployed under tight latency and compute constraints.
The Edge AI stack will be evolved by connecting planning with low-level controls and high-level semantic reasoning.
Real-world and simulated sensor data will be used to test and refine models; internal datasets and benchmarking tools will be contributed to.
Project planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions will be participated in.
Technical areas will be taken ownership of and high-quality implementations delivered.
Advancements in AI for robotics (e.g., expert and generalist policies, foundation models) will be integrated into workflows.

1. 6+ years of experience in AI, robotics, or computer vision.
2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering); M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
3. Knowledgeable in robot locomotion, kinematics, and dynamics.
4. Proficient in Python, with practical experience using ROS, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
5. Comfortable working with real-world sensor data and simulation tools.
6. Experience with DevOps/MLOps tools: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git).
7. Skilled at communicating technical insights, collaborating with teams, and contributing to shared decisions.
