Senior Quantity Surveyor Role Summary
This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as we continue to drive the delivery of residential projects from inception through to final account. About Your New Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful completion of residential projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and managing accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential developments.
* Overseeing procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiation.
* Monitoring project costs and providing regular financial reports to senior management.
* Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and variations.
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
* Providing commercial input into project planning and risk management.
* Mentoring junior QS staff and contributing to team development.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years' experience in a QS role, ideally within residential construction.
* Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, contracts, and procurement methods.
* A proven track record of managing budgets, cost control, and commercial reporting.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Buildsoft).
* The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
