Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to fill a vacant position. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including liaising with clients, reviewing documents and designs, preparing preliminary and detailed design drawings and specifications, and assisting project managers.

Main Responsibilities:

* Liaise with clients to deliver required designs
* Review documents and designs prepared by Graduate Engineers
* Prepare and review preliminary designs and reports using computer packages
* Procure Site Investigation, Building and Civil Engineering Contracts
* Assist Project Managers in the preparation of tender documents and tender assessments
* Administer construction contracts to ensure design requirements and project schedules are achieved


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and aptitude to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and Building Information Modelling
* Capability to develop skills in other software packages such as MicroDrainage, Microsoft Access, and GIS software packages
* Working knowledge of construction contracts and relevant software packages
