Lakeland Dairies is seeking an experienced and driven
Finance Shared Services Manager
to lead our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions within the Financial Services & Treasury team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on operational excellence, strategic enablement, and continuous improvement across our Shared Services function.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Financial Shared Services for the Group, driving process efficiency, automation, and delivering actionable insights to improve cashflow and working capital.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead AR and AP teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing.
* Deliver month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting to Group deadlines.
* Prepare monthly forecasts and cashflow impact analysis.
* Ensure Balance Sheet accuracy and produce monthly KPI reporting packs.
* Design and enhance financial processes and controls.
* Champion automation and digitalisation initiatives.
* Establish and monitor KPIs to drive performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
* Collaborate with Procurement, Commercial, and Treasury teams.
* Provide data-driven insights to improve debtor/creditor performance.
* Strengthen cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
* Maintain robust internal controls and ensure audit/statutory compliance.
* Uphold GDPR and data retention policies.
* Support external audits with timely and accurate data provision.
* Build and develop a high-performing Shared Services team.
* Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of accountability and learning.
* Drive career development and succession planning.
Desirable:
* Proven experience leading AR/AP or Shared Services in a complex, multi-entity environment.
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
* Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated success in process improvement and automation.
* Skilled people leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel; data analytics tools a plus.
* Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven.
