Job Title: Company Accountant
We are recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Company Accountant to join our client, an SME based in Kilkenny.
About the Role:
* Manage the full finance function, systems, and processes of the company.
* Play a key part in supporting business growth, driving financial performance, and ensuring full compliance with financial and tax regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the accounts, including sales, purchases, nominal ledgers, etc.
2. Maintain financial ledgers and accounting processes, and produce management accounts.
3. Manage cost accounting and cost centres, and maintain bank account and reconcile to bank statement.
4. Produce Weekly Cashflow Reports, prepare budgets, and track and report variances.
5. Manage and comply with all government reporting requirements and tax filing on ROS, including PAYE/PRSI, VAT returns, RCT.
6. Administer and run payroll for fixed-term employees, seasonal staff, and subcontractors in a timely and compliant manner.
7. Liaise with senior management with financial insights to support decision-making and risk management.
8. Support equipment and fleet management, ensuring all insurance, tax, and compliance matters are up to date.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification or strong background in a similar role.
* At least 4 years experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
* Previous experience in construction or related sectors is highly advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of Irish tax laws and financial compliance.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong organisational ability.
* High proficiency in accounting software, Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite.
