Role Overview
A rapidly expanding distributor, headquartered in Athy, Co. Kildare, and active across Ireland, the UK, and international markets, is seeking to appoint an ambitious and results-driven Key Account Manager to lead and grow strategic client relationships within the Leinster region.

You will be responsible for managing and developing key customer accounts, identifying new commercial opportunities, and fostering long-term partnerships that drive growth and retention.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value accounts across the Leinster region.
* Develop strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term business success.
* Identify opportunities to expand product and service offerings within existing accounts.
* Act as a strategic partner to clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions.
* Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. operations, marketing, customer service) to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions.
* Maintain accurate records of all account activity using CRM tools and report regularly on performance metrics.
Candidate Profile
* Proven track record in key account management, business development, or B2B sales – ideally within distribution, safety products, or workplace solutions.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
* Self-motivated and driven, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
* Ability to analyse client needs and create tailored commercial strategies.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Full, clean driving licence required.
