Description
To support our ambitious growth plans and build on our success to-date, we now require Audit and Tax Manager who will own our tax and audit functions. This newly created role reports directly to the Group CFO and will have direct access to the Executive Team with regular exposure to our Board. You will be responsible for partnering collaboratively across our finance function and wider business unit managers ensure full tax compliance across the Group, maintaining strong governance standards.
To be successful in role, you will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in a tax function ideally with exposure to UK and ROI tax legislation. You will have a natural bias towards data decision-making, strong analytical problem-solving skills, be results-driven, curious and a self-starter. You will enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment delivering practical results and be able to influence and work collaboratively to achieve business and commercial results.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Management
* Manage the preparation and submission of all Irish corporation tax returns for the Group.
* Oversee compliance with VAT, RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax), PAYE, carbon/environmental levies, and other sector-specific taxes.
* Lead the preparation of tax reporting under FRS 102, including current and deferred tax computations and disclosures for the Group.
* Monitor changes in Irish, UK and EU tax legislation (e.g., Pillar Two, green energy incentives) and assess impact on the business.
* Point of contact for all external tax advisors
* Ownership of transfer pricing requirements across the group ensuring all teams are recording their work sufficiently and all relevant back up is maintained
Governance & Risk Management
* Ownership of all tax policies and procedures and evolving these as needed
* Carry out internal reviews of adherence to tax policies and procedures across the business (utilising external expertise where required)
* Develop tax risk management reporting framework that feeds into the overall Group risk reporting framework
* Present to the Risk Committee on tax elements of risk register
* Key stakeholder in groups tax strategy alongside CFO, Chairman and external tax consultants
Audit & Assurance
* Act as the lead contact for the annual statutory audit, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion
* Working closely with the internal functions to plan out workloads and ensure capacity is available to complete the audit
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Qualified Accountant with 5+ years post qualified experience (ACA / ACCA)
* 5 years post qualification experience in tax ideally in industry
* Strong knowledge of Irish CT, VAT, PAYE, Transfer Pricing essential
* Strong ability to prioritise, manage deadlines, organise their work effectively, take initiative.
* Experience influencing senior stakeholder leveraging actionable insights.
* Inquisitive mind with ability to understand and solve complex business problems, high attention to detail and the ability to synthesize large amounts of data top-down / bottom-up.
* A self-starter who enjoys having accountability and ownership while being part of a collaborative team.
* Clear, concise and structured communication skills and approach.
* Able to roll up their sleeves, and drive results.
