Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business
As a Workday Payroll Consultant in Kainos, you’ll work in a team to implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for our global customer base, typically leading a project workstream. You will build relationships with our customers, shaping and delivering solutions that are aligned to customer needs, fit for purpose and commercially viable. You’ll provide excellent guidance to customers, understanding their business and requirements. You’ll support more junior members of the team and share your knowledge with them.
Responsibilities
* Implement and configure Workday Payroll solutions for a global client base, typically leading a project workstream.
* Build relationships with customers, shape and deliver solutions aligned to customer needs, fit-for-purpose and commercially viable.
* Provide excellent guidance to customers by understanding their business requirements.
* Support and mentor more junior team members.
* Travel to customer sites in the same region as required (minimal out-of-region travel may also be required).
What we are looking for
* Strong understanding of Workday Payroll as well as any other specialist Capability.
* Excellent customer focus with the ability to assess needs, build relationships and manage expectations. Know when to push back, escalate, or go above and beyond.
* Strong communication skills with impact, credibility and empathy, including in remote work contexts. Ability to present to senior client audiences.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
* Broad business and technology understanding with awareness of industry trends in HR, Financials, ERP or Payroll.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and make decisions under pressure with a balanced view of customer demands and commercial considerations.
* Ability to build and maintain a network of external contacts.
* Strong consulting skills (presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating and explaining complex functionality).
* Able to lead a functional workstream through the full project lifecycle.
* Willing to become an acknowledged subject matter expert (e.g., Workday Product Lead).
* Willing to mentor and/or line manage more junior consultants and support the sales process with delivery estimates.
* Able to implement improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practice.
* Commercial understanding of utilisation within a services organisation.
* Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services (Consulting and Application Management Services).
Nice to have
* Workday HCM, Financials or Payroll Certification.
* Workday Irish Payroll Experience.
