About the Hermitage Clinic
The Hermitage Clinic is a private hospital providing a full range of medical and surgical care across a broad spectrum of specialities. The Pharmacy has responsibility for the provision of pharmaceutical services within the Hospital, including Dispensary, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Procurement. The Pharmacy provides support across the clinical areas of the hospital and this role is important in making a significant contribution, developing and maintaining best practice in Pharmacy services. This includes the provision of the highest level of safety and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
The role is responsible for the provision of quality service in line with standards of Pharmacy practice. As a key member of the team, the Pharmacy Purchasing Assistant will demonstrate effective communication and team working skills with colleagues in the hospital. The position requires a collaborative approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for the ordering, receiving and the documenting of all stock items. The post holder will provide administrative assistance to the Chief Pharmacist relating to procurement. The role also involves liaising with the Finance/Billing Department to ensure that the correct process is followed.
Promote a patient centred culture of openness and responsiveness to positive and constructive patient feedback and ensuring patient dignity, respect and choice is maintained in their care.
Experience of order entry and invoice processing
Significant demonstrable experience in office administration
