The Hospital currently have a vacancy for the following position: Chief Medical Registrar Officer- Full-time 39 hours per week Requirements A primary medical qualification (MBBS, MB BCh, or equivalent) with Full General Registration with the Irish Medical Council is essential.
A minimum of 5 years' Senior post experience in an acute hospital setting.
Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of all Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs), including Registrars, SHOs and PA's, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service in line with hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Support the delivery and continuity of patient care.
The Chief RMO will have access to all NCHDs on duty as required; however, the Admitting Consultant retains overall responsibility for patient care.
Deliver education, simulation training, and teaching for NCHDs, students, and other staff members.
Provide senior clinical support during duty hours.
Act as a formal link between NCHDs, Liaison Consultants, and hospital management, facilitating structured, continuous two-way communication and engagement.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the NCHD team (in collaboration with Liaison Consultants where appropriate), including overseeing admission and discharge medical assessments and ensuring adequate house cover.
This is a Permanent, Full Time and pensionable post.
