Job Opportunity: Workshop Controller
An exceptional chance has emerged for an accomplished Workshop Controller to lead a team in a busy Motor Accident Repair Centre.
The ideal candidate must have previously held a workshop control position and possess excellent organisational and people management skills, as well as a hands-on approach.
The primary objective of this role is to effectively maintain company standards of productivity, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
* Allocating workloads to productive staff in the workshop
* Supervising Vehicle Repair Technicians- Paint Sprayers, Panel Beaters, and METs
* Ensuring all work carried out meets the highest possible standard of workmanship and efficiency according to industry guidelines
* Interpreting instructions from job cards/repair orders and adhering to documented quality procedures
* Gathering and recording necessary technical data
* Inspecting vehicles and work as required by documented procedures
* Identifying additional repairs necessary and notifying the appropriate person immediately
* Frequent inspections to spot special repair problems
* Careful review of administrative documentation before, during, and after repairs
* Tight supervision of sublet vendors' quality and delivery times
* Ongoing scanning of the workshop for methods to save time or money
This position requires a person with great discipline and attention to detail.
The Workshop Controller must be an effective leader and motivator.
A knowledge of the Autoflow Control software will be advantageous.
