Job Overview
The Sales Advisor's role is to effectively manage sales of Personal Lines, Agri and Commercial Business.
Main Responsibilities
* Proactively achieve individual sales targets through prospecting, up selling and cross selling of Personal Lines/Commercial/Agri business.
* Handle customer queries and refer unresolved/technical issues to relevant personnel.
* Ensure compliance with company systems and procedures.
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge and information on commercial product range and compliance requirements, as well as complete relevant industry qualifications and professional development hours as needed.
* Work flexibly within the Sales Office and participate in various office tasks, which may include attending the local market.
* Provide relief to other Sales Offices in the region as required.
* Develop mutually beneficial working relationships with local FBD Life and Pension Financial Advisors to enhance overall FBD Group service delivery to customers.
* Participate in account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
* Engage in ongoing renewal follow-ups and revisions; identify sales opportunities, cover/rate improvements as necessary.
* Assist customers during the initial notification of claims stage, in line with company procedures.
* Take responsibility for individual outstanding debit/premium collections.
Qualifications and Experience
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification, and/or a relevant third-level qualification.
* Desirable to hold Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) or Grandfathered Accreditation, however assistance will be given to obtain this qualification within the timeframes outlined by the Central Bank of Ireland.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Previous experience in insurance/financial services would be advantageous.
* Sales/customer service experience.
* Proactive/energetic approach and positive outlook.
* Customer-focused.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
