We are seeking someone who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, adaptive culture and lead changes in source-to-contract operations across multiple categories and regions.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, onboard, lead, manage and develop a team of professionals in support of source-to-contract operations across multiple categoriesOversee end-to-end sourcing and contracting process across assigned categoriesLead procurement planning and contracting strategies aligned to organizational objectivesDevelop and execute sourcing events and proposals with appropriate specifications, terms, and conditionsApply quality assurance to monitor team and individual performance and route only appropriate escalations to legal and global category managersAct as escalation point within the Agile Sourcing Ops team to provide guidance on substantive sourcing and contracting issuesMaintain awareness of pre-contracting steps and BMS policies related to contractsSupport execution and project management of broader programs impacting the teamPartner with adjacent stakeholders and deliver on complex, high-risk issues or projectsAct as trusted advisor to global category managers and leadership to ensure procurement strategies meet business expectationsLead complex sourcing events and contract negotiations with stakeholders, category managers, legal and subject matter expertsCoordinate with functions across BMS to facilitate timely, compliant contractsPerformance & Continuous ImprovementReview team performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sourcing and contractingShare best practices across the Agile Sourcing team to meet business needs in a standardized, compliant mannerCollaborate with procurement and legal to improve contracting processes, template language, and negotiation guidanceParticipate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives and explore AI/ML opportunities in procurementDevelop, review, and analyze SLAs, KPIs and other metrics to support business planning and inform decisionsQualifications & ExperienceB.S./B.A. in Sciences; advanced degrees (e.g., JD, MBA, MS) preferred8-10 years of relevant sourcing and contracting experience across direct and indirect categories, with familiarity of Master Services Agreements3-5 years of direct people management experience leading cross-functional, multicultural teamsExperience collaborating with global teams in a matrix environmentExpertise in procurement processes, contract lifecycle management, financial and market analysis, supplier management, and strategic planningExperience with contract construction and negotiation in the pharma/biotech industry preferredProven leadership, coaching and development skills with a growth mindsetStrong written and oral communication and customer focusAbility to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple demands while sustaining performanceExperience with Sourcing and CLM technology (e.g., ARIBA, Icertis)Why You Should ApplyImpact patients by helping combat serious diseasesJoin a company that values excellence, diversity, leadership development and employee well-beingCompetitive salary and benefits, including annual bonus, pension, health insurance, vacation, and on-site facilitiesEEO and accessibility: Bristol Myers Squibb is committed to equal opportunity employment.
