Community Centre Manager Position
Job Summary:
The Community Centre Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for staff and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily centre operations, including administrative tasks, staff management, and financial planning.
* Maintain the building and surrounding areas to meet regulatory standards and best practices.
* Ensure high standards of hygiene, aesthetics, and sustainability.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with renting clients through excellent customer service.
* Provide a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for staff, clients, participants, and visitors.
* Manage the booking system efficiently and effectively.
* Prepare budgets and report regularly to senior management.
* Secure annual income through grant applications and funding initiatives.
* Liaise with auditors and organise the annual general meeting.
* Collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial transactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Significant experience in managing a community centre or similar environment.
* Experience in managing and supporting staff and volunteers.
* Understanding and commitment to community development values.
* Ability to engage with marginalized community members.
* Knowledge of human resources management.
* Proficient in financial accounting and budgeting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly proficient in office computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
