Role Overview
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking a Programme Officer I (Level 3) Team Lead to lead an administrative/support team in the Research Programme under the Office of Evidence and Assessment.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the EPA's research budget and grant awards
* Financial planning and reporting
* Procurement of external supports
* Enhancing impact monitoring and communication efforts
Key Requirements
* A relevant degree (NFQ Level 8) in business, finance, public administration or another relevant discipline and five years relevant work experience
* Experience in tender development, procurement, and contract management
* Managing staff to effectively deliver business plans and objectives
* Leading a team, including organising resources, motivating and developing staff, and creating a culture that values teamwork and collaboration
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of communicating complex messages in plain English to a variety of stakeholders
* Supporting the preparation, management and control of budgets including adherence to financial governance
* Building effective relationships and proactively engaging with partners/stakeholders toward achievement of organisational strategic goals
* Interpretation, development and implementation of policies, procedures and legislation
