About the Role
A rapidly expanding cooked-meats producer is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join its management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a food-safety professional who is passionate about quality management and eager to help drive the success of a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of robust food-safety and quality-assurance programs, including HACCP, regulatory audits, food-safety training, SOPs, product inspections, and standardised work instructions.
* Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene policies.
* Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to staff as required.
* Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers while promoting the best interests of the business.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to meet internal and external quality standards.
* Oversee compliance with food-safety regulations and industry standards such as HACCP and BRC.
* Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
* Proven track record in a quality-management role within the food industry.
* In-depth knowledge of food-safety regulations and quality standards, including HACCP and BRC.
* Strong leadership abilities with excellent team-management skills.
* Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving capabilities.
* Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* High attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure.
* Proficiency with quality-management software and related tools.
