OverviewArea Sales Manager covering the Tipperary, Limerick and Clare territory for a leading employer and supplier of fuel products to industrial, commercial, agricultural, domestic, wholesale and retail customers across the country.Operating in a fast-moving and competitive fuels sector, this role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep understanding of the retail fuel market and the ability to identify and convert new opportunities. Applications are welcome.The RoleThe Area Sales Manager will report to the Retail Fuels Director and will be responsible for driving sales performance, expanding the retail footprint and managing relationships with both existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention and repeat businessWork closely with the Commercial and Wholesale teams to align sales activity, share intelligence and maximise cross-selling opportunitiesPartner with the Retail Fuels Director and management team to deliver on sales targets, volume growth and profitability objectivesPresent the full retail offering to potential and existing customers, advising on the most suitable commercial and branding solutionsPromote and protect the brand, ensuring consistent application of brand standards and messagingMaintain and analyse market intelligence, monitoring competitors, pricing trends and new business opportunitiesRespond promptly to customer enquiries and provide professional, solution-oriented supportManage customer accounts and liaison with the Credit team to monitor balances and trading limitsProduce accurate reports and analysis on sales performance, pipeline activity and customer trendsCollaborate effectively with internal departments including Marketing, Operations and Finance to support customer delivery and business objectivesProvide support and cover for colleagues as required to ensure seamless service to customersIdentify and evaluate new site opportunities, supporting the network expansion strategyEnsure compliance with operational standards across all dealer sitesMaintain detailed records and forecasts within CRM systems to support pipeline visibility and planningSupport the rollout of marketing initiativesParticipate in cross-functional projects and provide guidance to dealer partners to enhance operational excellencePromote and sell retail solutions, securing new contracts and maintaining long-term, profitable customer relationshipsSkills & ExperienceThird-level qualification in Business or a related area, or equivalent relevant experienceProven experience as a Sales Manager, Area Manager or Senior Account Manager within the fuel, energy, FMCG or similar B2B environmentFull, clean drivers licenceHighly organised, analytical and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced marketProficient in Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationshipsStrong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver profitable growthExcellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilitiesFlexible, motivated and a collaborative team player with strong initiative and ownershipThe OfferThis is a permanent role which offers competitive salary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, with excellent benefits package to include discretionary bonus, commission, pension scheme, company car, phone and laptop, and paid holiday leave.How to ApplyIf you are interested in applying or want to know more about this role please contact:Orlaigh FitzGerald-Quinn in Cpl Limerick on 085 801 7135 or email your CV to orlaigh.quinn@cpl.ieFora full list of our open jobs, please have a look at cpl.com.#LI-OF1
