Ballinderry Nursing Home is situated in a beautiful rural setting near the village of Kilconnell. The purpose built Nursing Home provides the highest standard of nursing care. It is a family run, private nursing home, caring for 42 Residents in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Ballinderry Nursing home has an exciting opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team.
The CNM, reporting to the DON, is responsible for supporting, evaluating and maintaining of the highest standards of person-centred care to Residents at The Nursing Home.
The role holder will apply their professional clinical expertise in line with governing standards and best practice.
The role holder will ensure appropriate risk management to ensure the safety, health and welfare of Residents at The Nursing Home.

All staff members are required to attend mandatory safeguarding training and are expected to act as advocates for the safety, choice, autonomy, and dignity of our residents at all times. It is the duty of every staff member to report any concerns and to uphold our commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all those in our care.
In addition, the CNM will actively participate in The Nursing Home's Quality Improvement program as well contributing to continuous learning through ongoing involvement in Education and Training.
Skills, competencies and knowledge.
* Demonstrate knowledge of national standards and regulations for residential care services for older people.
* Demonstrate knowledge of legislation, professional codes and standards related to practice and to caring for older people.
* Excellent Knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the safe and effective management of medication.
Demonstrate knowledge of risk management, health and safety and quality improvement processes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Be registered Nurse with of NMBI.
* Experience of Working with Older People.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in the last two years.
