We are seeking a highly experienced Ecological Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology and environmental consultancy, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior role.

Key Responsibilities
">
* Oversee individual contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ecological consultancy services.
* Provide specialist ecological input across various projects, including coastal, freshwater, marine, and terrestrial ecology.
* Plan, conduct, and supervise ecological surveys and fieldwork activities to meet project requirements.
* Prepare and oversee the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) to minimize environmental impact.
* Lead the preparation of Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reports.
* Produce high-quality technical reports and project deliverables to meet client expectations.
* Ensure quality control across all project outputs, with a focus on detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A degree in ecology or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 10 years' post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.
* Membership of CIEEM, CIWEM, or a comparable professional body.
* Proven experience serving as an expert witness and participating in oral hearings.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
* Strong technical report writing capabilities.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of CEMP's.
* Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
* Possession of a full, clean driving license.
