This is a senior, high-impact role within a commercial team responsible for some of the most significant mission-critical developments currently underway in Europe. The successful candidate will work across an active pipeline of major projects, engaging at the most senior levels with internal stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners.

You will gain exposure to the full commercial lifecycle, from pre-construction strategy and contract negotiation through to final account agreement and project close-out. The role is built around influence rather than administration, with the appointed individual expected to shape commercial direction at portfolio level.
Based in Dublin with regular travel across the European project portfolio, the role offers a strong balance between strategic head office responsibilities and direct engagement with project delivery teams on site.
Responsibilities
Lead all commercial activity across an active European data centre pipeline, ensuring consistent delivery against financial and contractual targets
Develop and implement the commercial strategy for new and existing projects, working closely with executive leadership and project delivery teams
Manage, mentor and develop a team of senior cost and contracts professionals across multiple project locations
Act as the primary commercial interface between delivery teams and clients, building strong, long-term relationships at the most senior level
Oversee contract negotiation, drafting and administration under NEC and FIDIC forms of contract, including the management of variations, claims and final accounts
Drive commercial governance, reporting and risk management across the portfolio, including monthly cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow oversight
Provide commercial input into pre-construction, procurement and supply chain strategy, ensuring competitive and risk-balanced positions are secured
Champion best practice, continuous improvement and a culture of commercial excellence across the wider business
What You Need
Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role within a main contractor, specialist contractor or consultancy
Proven track record of leading commercial activity on large-scale, complex projects, ideally within the data centre, mission-critical or major capital projects market
Strong working knowledge of NEC and FIDIC forms of contract, with demonstrable experience of managing both during live project delivery
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline; professional accreditation (MRICS / MCIOB) advantageous
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing commercial teams across multiple project locations
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills, with the credibility to operate at executive and client board level
Willingness to travel across European project locations as required by the role
