We are currently hiring a
Senior Respiratory Physiologist
to join a hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Conduct and analyse full polysomnography sleep studies and CPAP titration studies in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of respiratory diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate measurements and interpretation of results.
Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff members within the department.
Communicate effectively with consultants, general practitioners (GPs), and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and clinical requirements.
Ensure the timely completion, analysis, and reporting of patient diagnostic procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records and documentation.
Build and maintain professional and respectful relationships with patients and hospital departments.
Order, manage, and store medical supplies in line with organisational policies.
Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in respiratory physiology.
Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills as medical technologies and procedures evolve.
Attend departmental and hospital meetings as required.
Requirements
· Degree in
Clinical Physiology / Clinical Measurement Science
from
Technological University Dublin
.
·
M.P.P.M – Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement
from
Technological University Dublin
,
or
an
equivalent recognised qualification
.
·
Minimum of three years of relevant post-qualification experience
.
· Strong
knowledge and practical experience in respiratory testing and sleep studies
.
· Good
organisational and time management skills
.
· A
proactive approach to quality control and continuous service improvement
.
·
Paediatric experience
is desirable but
not essential
.
