Job Title: Temporary Grade VII IT Manager in Westmeath
Location: Mullingar
Pay scale: €31.90 – €41.47 (depending on previous relevant public sector experience)
Full Time – 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9-5
Duration: 3 Month contract initially
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to IT-related issues, assisting with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and providing solutions for laboratory staff.
* Provide support for all information and technology (IT) systems including LIS, Q-Pulse, REEs, and associated infrastructure.
* Liaise with the Manager and CMS for software/hardware infrastructure updates and upgrades.
* Manage the rollout of IT infrastructure developments, upgrades, and implementations from both operational and administrative perspectives.
* Liaise with vendors, and other stakeholders regarding IT projects and initiatives.
* Facilitate the rollout of national IT projects.
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS), data protection, and accreditation standards, preparing relevant documentation (SOPs, validation plans, risk assessments, etc.).
* Manage data processing, confidentiality, and data protection agreements, ensuring staff compliance.
* Oversee IT-related backup procedures within the laboratory.
* Administer user accounts and passwords for laboratory IT applications.
* Collect, analyse, and present laboratory data and statistics as required.
* Possess a 3rd level qualification such as Computer Science or Information Systems or other equivalent qualification to NFQ Level 7 or above
AND
* Experience of working in an IT Senior or management role post 3rd level qualification
