Mayo 28 hours per week Flexible working options available Fixed-term contract starting mid-November 2025 Pulse is proud to partner with a leading non-profit organisation to recruit a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist for a maternity cover role based in a modern child development centre in Claremorris, Co. Mayo. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly multidisciplinary team in a purpose-built therapy facility offering a range of services to children with neurodevelopmental needs. The centre features a large sensory motor gym, therapy consultation rooms, a child development shop, and excellent staff amenities including a kitchen and free onsite parking. Key Responsibilities: Deliver family-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents, both individually and in groups. Provide onsite supervision to junior therapists and remote support to a small number of colleagues. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. Maintain accurate clinical documentation using digital systems. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and service development initiatives. Support parent and teacher training sessions and contribute to CPD activities. Ensure therapy spaces and equipment are maintained to a high standard. Assist with promotional and media activities related to service enhancement. Requirements: Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy, eligible for practice in Ireland. Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in paediatric settings. Experience working with children with additional needs including autism, sensory processing disorders, and Down syndrome. Ayres Sensory Integration training desirable. ADOS/ADIR training beneficial but not essential. CORU registration and AOTI membership required. Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory references. Access to own transport for occasional community visits. Passion for paediatric therapy and commitment to ongoing professional development.
