The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our dynamic and supportive team as a Nurse in our Services for Older Persons. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver holistic nursing care that addresses the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of residents and their families.
Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing education and support of fellow healthcare professionals, promoting excellence in older person nursing across the organisation. All aspects of your work will reflect the values, policies, and procedures of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, directly supporting our mission to deliver outstanding, person-centred care. This is a key position that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their loved ones.
Essential Criteria
A candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed applications for the post
* Be registered in the relevant Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered.
* Have at least two years’ experience in the area of services for older people;
* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
* Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Qualifications and skills noted below are desirable, but candidates who possess them may be given higher priority during shortlisting.
* Proficiency in Information Systems and Technology, or a willingness to undertake training, is essential.
* Hold a post-registration qualification in Gerentology
