We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to join our Minor Contracting team at EPS Group in Mallow.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering infrastructure projects for Municipal, Dairy, Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries.Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, environmental and client expectations.Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets Coordinate all phases of projects including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning Ensure projects meet technical specifications, environmental standards and client requirements Regulatory Compliance & Safety Promote and enforce health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) policies on site Prepare and submit necessary permits and documentation Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, representing EPS interests Communicate project progress, risks and issues effectively to all stakeholders Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle Resource & Team Management Allocate and manage internal and external resources efficiently Supervise site teams and ensure proper training and performance Resolve conflicts and maintain team morale and productivity Risk & Issue Management Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies Monitor project performance and address issues proactively Quality Assurance & Control Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections Ensure all works are completed to industry standards and client specifications Manage documentation and reporting for audits and reviews Financial Oversight Monitor project costs and control expenditures Approve invoices, manage variations, and ensure cost recovery Report on financial performance and forecast future needs Procurement Manage procurement activities for your assigned projects, including supplier selection and contract negotiation Manage purchase orders, subcontractor agreements and material sourcing Ensure timely delivery of equipment and services to meet project milestones Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues Sustainability & Innovation Promote sustainable practices in wastewater treatment and infrastructure Explore innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact Key Competencies and Skills: Proficiency in PC skills Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater Industry Experience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines Qualifications & Experience: Third level Mechanical/ Electrical qualification Similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered Full Irish driving licence Compensation Package: Competitive salary and benefits package Robust graduate programme Opportunities for professional development and career growth CPD accredited employer A collaborative and supportive work environment Laptop or desktop and work mobile phone provided Flexible working options, dependent on location and role requirements See company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group Wewelcomespeculativeapplicationsfromindividualsofalllevels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.If you need any reasonable adjustments or have an accessibility request during your recruitment journey, please let our recruiting team know.Speaktoourrecruitingteamon022-31200oremail.Equal Opportunity Statement- EPS Group is an equal opportunities employer.Company Profile Since 1968, we have grown from a modest electrical and pumping services business and developed into an innovative, internationally exporting product and service provider, now focused upon the water, wastewater and clean technology sectors, operating across the Republic of Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe.We are an international water infrastructure specialist, one of the few genuine end-to-end service providers in the global water sector, providing large scale employment, bringing market leading and ground breaking technologies to Ireland and working to improve the country's water infrastructure.
