About Us
Drumlin House is a non-for-profit day service provider to adults with intellectual disabilities including those with autism, founded in 1982. Funded by the HSE it supports 100 service users who reside in our catchment area of Cavan/Monaghan. The demand for our service continues to grow and with an exciting organisation development plan we are seeking to fill the role of HR Manager. Working with our 50 staff and as a member of our Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will guide our future staff recruitment, retention and development plans. This is a new position for Drumlin House and will be a critical role in shaping our people strategy into the future while meeting our contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities
* Lead the HR function, providing guidance to management and staff.
* Manage the full recruitment cycle, including the job posting, sourcing and screening candidates, short-listing CVs, scheduling and partaking in interviews, reference checking, etc.
* Focus on employee retention, with particular attention on new employee inductions and wellbeing/retention initiatives.
* Manage employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
* Oversee performance management, training, and staff development.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and HSE standards.
* Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and reporting to the Director of Services (DOS) and the Board.
Candidate Profile
* Third-level qualification in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years’ HR experience, including 2 years in a management role.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
* Awareness of the health, social care, or charity sector desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* CIPD membership (or working towards) an advantage.
