Job Purpose
The Golf Shop Attendant ensures guests and members receive a warm welcome and professional service at all times.
This role supports the day-to-day operation of the golf shop, including guest care, stock management, buggy preparation and maintenance, and driving range ball collections.
The attendant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of golf facilities and enhancing the overall golfing experience.
Role Responsibilities
Guest Care & Customer Service
Welcome and assist guests in the golf shop with professionalism and courtesy.
Handle enquiries, tee time bookings, and check-ins accurately.
Provide information on facilities, services, and course conditions.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance, hygiene, and conduct.
Golf Shop Operations & Stock Management
Support retail operations, ensuring displays are tidy and well-stocked.
Assist with stock taking, deliveries, and accurate inventory management.
Ensure the golf shop is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
Buggy Care & Driving Range Support
Prepare, clean, and maintain golf buggies for guest use.
Carry out routine checks on buggies, reporting faults or maintenance issues.
Collect, wash, and replenish driving range balls to maintain supply for players.
Ensure the range is kept safe, tidy, and operational.
Administration & Record Keeping
Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as updating booking systems and maintaining records.
Support the Golf Operations Manager with operational reporting as required.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all health, fire, and safety procedures at all times.
Report hazards, faults, or security concerns promptly.
Follow procedures for lost property and equipment security.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a golf, leisure, or retail environment an advantage.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude.
Interest in golf and understanding of golf club operations desirable.
Ability to work full-time, including weekends and peak golf periods.
