Responsibilities of this
Buying Assistant job include:
* Advise pricing office of all price and product file related changes.
* Coordinate the communication of promotional activity to branches.
* Prepare required financial information in advance of supplier meetings.
* Prepare and communicate weekly category performance measurements.
* Review service levels on a weekly basis to assess performance issues and take appropriate action to resolve.
* Handle day to day queries with suppliers, sales teams, and branches.
* Collate information for supplier cost increases.
* Support project work as required e.g. seasonal, range rationalisation or any other projects that the business may require.
Experience required for this Buying Assistant job include:
* Minimum 1 year of administration skills.
* Good level of numeracy skills.
* Organisational skills.
* Excellent PC Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
* Supplier management experience is desirable.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Relevant third level qualification.
