Senior Care Provider Role Overview
The Senior Care Provider is responsible for delivering high-quality person-centred services to adults and children in designated centres.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure that the centre operates effectively and efficiently, adhering to:
* Strategic Planning
* Relevant Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Safety Statement
* Provision of a safe and welcoming environment for individuals we support, with regular communication and reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and act as a role model in clinical practice, guiding and supporting nursing and support teams.
1. Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to Nursing and Support teams in delivering clinical and care services.
2. Maintain accurate records and documentation for individuals supported and staff, ensuring compliance with legislation and HIQA requirements.
3. Contribute to developing and maintaining nursing standards, protocols, and guidelines aligned with best practices.
4. Oversee the daily operations of the unit, working under the direction of senior management.
5. Evaluate and meet the health, recreational, and other needs of individuals supported, promoting independence and respect.
6. Establish strong relationships with individuals based on mutual respect and equality.
