Day Service Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Day Service Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young autistic adults.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering workshops to support the personal growth and development of our service users. This will include activities such as film making, creativity, science, technology, engineering, arts, outdoor & nature pursuits. You will also be required to ensure a person-centred approach to meet the needs of each individual, developing individual plans and empowering young people to achieve their identified goals in an integrated and inclusive setting. Additionally, you will promote inclusion, equality, and community participation, develop relationships with the wider community, and provide individual mentoring to young people. Experience and knowledge of autism-informed approaches is desirable.
To be considered for this role, you will require flexibility to occasionally support young people outside of standard working hours, along with knowledge and understanding of New Directions and Person-Centred Planning. A balanced approach to risk, ability to develop meaningful community links, good communication skills, observational and organisational abilities, drive, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering person-centred solutions, and competent IT skills are all essential.
