Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking for your next role? One of the world's leading providers of engineering, professional consulting, and support services is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their infrastructure division out of their Dublin offices.
This Senior Design Engineer role is suited to professionals with expertise in Civil, Process, or MEICA disciplines and a proven track record in the water/wastewater sector. You will play a key role in designing and delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects for various prestigious clients.
* Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across all stages, including feasibility studies, detailed design, preparation of contract documents, and construction administration.
* Ensure a thorough understanding of project deliverables, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
* Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, taking ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
* Support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress, ensuring delivery within budget and programme constraints.
* Prepare detailed designs, technical specifications, and contract documentation.
* Draft high-quality technical reports and provide expert input during project execution.
* Demonstrable experience in the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects.
* Familiarity with key contract frameworks, including FIDIC, NEC, Public Works, and Irish Water-specific requirements.
* Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations as they pertain to the design process.
* Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and under own initiative to achieve project goals.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Membership (or eligibility) with Engineers Ireland is essential. Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
* Strong focus on quality assurance and adherence to established management systems.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible, with a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
