Job Title: Senior Process Engineer
Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance manufacturing processes and develop optimal moulding processes, tooling, and automation strategies that align with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop new products by compiling standard specifications and monitor existing production to ensure adherence to standards.
* Apply statistical techniques to optimize processes and collaborate with Production Group leaders to troubleshoot processing problems.
* Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and business development.
* Solve customer-related issues in conjunction with the Quality department and instruct employees on manufacturing skills and knowledge.
* Coordinate documentation development and review systems to ensure conformance to quality management system standards.
* Communicate regularly with external suppliers and provide feedback on issues to the senior management team.
Requirements:
* Minimum National Diploma in Plastics Engineering or equivalent degree, with at least 4-5 years' experience in injection moulding.
* Excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling and design, as well as injection moulding, processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
* Preference for experience in Medical, Packaging, or technological industries, with knowledge of real-time monitoring systems.
* Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
* Proficiency in computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to accurately document work performed.
