Maintenance Technician Job Description
Your new role will involve working in Galway on a single site. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for installing, supporting, maintaining, overhauling, adjusting and modifying computer and machine systems throughout the facility.
This job covers both electrical and mechanical aspects of the Technician's role and requires them to undertake any task which is within their competence. The position will focus on optimizing performance and troubleshooting various computer/machine issues, including hardware and software problems, to minimize downtime.
You will act as a technical resource to assist non-technical staff in resolving and explaining issues to customers, as needed. You will adhere to all company procedures, systems and documents, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and demonstrate high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, support, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment and modification of computer and machine systems.
* Optimizing performance and troubleshooting computer/machine issues.
* Providing technical assistance to non-technical staff.
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Demonstrating high standards of health and safety.
Requirements:
* At least 1 year of repair experience in a relevant role or repair centre experience (relating to PC, laptop, smartphone and tablet repair, new PC/custom PC builds) or electronic qualification.
* A genuine interest in technology.
* The ability to solder and replace chips/caps on PCs and electronic boards.
* Experience in electronics debugging and fault-finding.
* A full clean driving licence/car (although not essential).
