Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Production Planner in Co.
Laois.
This is a permanent, full time opportunity.
Key responsibilities
Develop and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules in line with customer demand and sales forecasts
Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Stores to prevent shortages or overstocking
Liaise with Production, Engineering, Quality and Sales teams to align priorities
Identify capacity constraints and propose solutions to optimise workflow
Track production performance and report on KPIs (OTIF, lead times, efficiency, downtime)
Update and maintain ERP/MRP systems with accurate production data
Expedite critical orders and manage schedule adjustments as required
Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and manufacturing
The Person
2+ years' experience in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing environment
Experience in engineering, mechanical, or industrial manufacturing preferred
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles an advantage
