You will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, quality and manufacturing teams to drive products from concept through to production in a highly regulated environment.The RoleAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, integration and optimisation of complex electrical systems used in next-generation cardiac therapies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the design, development and testing of electrical systems and circuits for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g. IEC 60601)Perform system-level integration of hardware, firmware and software componentsDevelop detailed specifications, schematics and PCB layouts, working closely with cross-functional teamsDesign, develop and qualify functional and safety test systems at both product and PCB levelSupport verification and validation activities to ensure product safety, compliance and performanceConduct risk assessments, root cause investigations and failure analysis on electrical issues and field-returned productsManage product changes and change control activities, ensuring accurate and compliant design documentation (BOMs, drawings, specifications)Partner with manufacturing, reliability and supplier teams to optimise designs for scalability, yield and cost efficiencySupport and, where appropriate, own CAPA activities through to resolutionProvide technical troubleshooting support to manufacturing and key suppliersMentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering cultureStay current with emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices in electrical engineeringKey Skills & ExperienceMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 4+ years' electrical design experienceorAdvanced degree with 2+ years' relevant electrical design experiencePreferred ExperienceExperience working within medical devices or other highly regulated industriesStrong background in analog, high-voltage and/or RF circuit designExperience with system-level integration of hardware and firmwareHands-on experience designing and debugging PCB assembliesExperience developing hardware test systems for design verification or production testingSolid understanding of EMC design and testing principles (IEC 60601)Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Test (DFM / DFT) principlesExperience with Six Sigma, Lean or structured problem-solving methodologiesProficiency with analysis, simulation and PCB design tools (e.g. MATLAB, SPICE, Altium, Cadence, Minitab)Strong technical documentation skills (specifications, test plans, reports)Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetWhat's on OfferCompetitive salaryFlexible and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge cardiac technologies with real patient impactStrong career progression and long-term development opportunities
