Overview of the role
We are looking for a qualified financial accountant to lead the finance team of our growing business in Ireland.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Preparation of quarterly accounts for Ireland and Norway for Group consolidations
Statutory financial statements and audits for associated Irish companies and Norwegian branch/entity
Bi-monthly VAT returns
Preparation and submission of monthly PAYE/PRSI returns
Supervision of employee and pensioners payroll and monthly reconciliation of same
Managing the controls and approvals around supplier engagements and approvals of supplier and staff expense payment runs
Responsible for debt collection in Ireland
Maintain internal controls in line with Group policies and best accounting practice
Corporation Tax returns for Irish companies and Norwegian branch/entity
Company Secretarial returns and interaction with Group engaged company secretarial company
Treasury management of the company, monitoring the cash position on a monthly / weekly basis as necessary
Submission of monthly Cashflow reports to Group Treasury and preparation of Annual Cashflow Forecast
Central Statistic Office returns
Line management of up to 4 staff and interaction with supporting overseas finance shared service centre
Attendance at monthly management meetings
Understanding of the management accounts of Ireland through interaction with management accountants in the region
Administration on behalf of the company of DB and DC Pension Schemes
Qualifications, skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
A qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)
Must be a good communicator (both written and verbal) and confident in dealing with senior management
Conversant in the use of Excel and experience of other accounting systems
Excellent relationship building skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a good eye for detail
Ability to see tasks through to conclusion
Experience of supervision or mentoring
